View from the train

It was odd to look out the window and see rice paddies basically as the backyard of some homes. Also, the houses were very close together-yet they still had windows on those sides. It looked like you could reach out and shake hands with your neighbor.
Beautiful mural on the platform of the train station-in Kyoto, I think.
