Strawberries!
We finally got a chance to go to our local strawberry farm yesterday and pick. My mom and I and both kids picked 3 buckets (gallons?) of berries in about 30 minutes. Plus, of course, those not quite perfect ones that we had to eat.
We've picked strawberries here for years, probably since A was about 2. By now, both kids are master pickers.
My mom took home one bucket, there's one bucket for us, and one bucket I split up among the kids' teachers and assistant teachers for teacher appreciation week. And, wow, were the teachers appreciative! Several commented on how the berries brought back memories of picking there in the past and A's teacher said she would probably go pick this weekend.
